At the same time, they call for a new, shared way of thinking about ethical standards, social responsibility and sustainable innovation. <\/p>\n\n<p>As part of several think tank rounds, initiated by the <strong>Metaverse Europe Foundation<\/strong> in Paris and Brussels and in cooperation with the <strong>German government&#8217;s SME Digital Network<\/strong> in Germany, we have intensively discussed key issues relating to the responsible design of immersive technologies.<br\/>The resulting handout summarizes the most important findings and provides companies in Europe with concrete recommendations for practical action.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Why these results are particularly important for European companies<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Protect and strengthen European values<\/strong>: Freedom, participation, data protection and sustainability must also remain the basis of our actions in the digital space.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Exploiting cross-border potential<\/strong>: The Metaverse enables new forms of cooperation, product development and market development that make European companies fit for the future.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Taking responsibility<\/strong>: Through ethical guidelines and value-oriented actions, companies create trust and long-term stability in a dynamic digital world.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><strong>Key findings of our think tank work<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Designing technologies with a focus on people<\/strong>: Innovation must not be based solely on efficiency and profitability &#8211; the focus must be on people.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>A wide range of opportunities for SMEs<\/strong>: from virtual recruiting and digital development and production processes to innovative marketing, new opportunities are opening up for small and medium-sized enterprises in particular.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>New demands on managers<\/strong>:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Taking responsibility for change<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Actively involve and integrate employees<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Defining corporate values in dialog<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Building trust through transparency and the gradual introduction of new technologies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Setting an example of innovation and ethical behavior<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><strong>Our common goal<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>With this initiative, the <strong>Metaverse Europe Foundation<\/strong> and its partners want to make a contribution to shaping the digital transformation in Europe in a value-based, innovative and sustainable way.<br\/>The paper, which was developed together with <strong>Mittelstand-Digital<\/strong>, offers valuable guidance for companies of all sizes and from all sectors.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Download the handout<\/h3>\n<a  data-e-Disable-Page-Transition=\"true\" class=\"download-link\" title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/foundationmetaverse.eu\/en\/download\/6134\/?tmstv=1779116049\" rel=\"nofollow\" id=\"download-link-6134\" data-redirect=\"false\" >\n\tThink Tank Metaverse \u2013 Ergebnisse und Empfehlungen<\/a>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The digital transformation is progressing worldwide &#8211; and immersive technologies such as the Metaverse are opening up new opportunities for companies across Europe.
