Foundation Metaverse Europe Expert Symposium in Brussels

26 November @ 10:00 17:00 CET

Artificial intelligence will create virtual worlds almost independently. Through the use of machine learning and other algorithmic techniques, artificial intelligence will analyse large amounts of data, recognise patterns, draw conclusions and even take over human-like conversations. As a result, it is able to create virtual worlds in an efficient and precise way to fit the respective user. There will be many advantages in working life as well as in everyday social life. But what challenges does this pose? How do we deal with this as companies, institutions and society? Which stakeholders need to work together at the European level to set benchmarks and define new standards to preserve European values?

We will discuss these and other questions with the invited European experts.

Format: Parallel expert panels on selected core topics of the Metaverse Europe Foundation related to the Metaverse in connection with Artificial Intelligence. The roundtables are staffed with top-class experts to discuss the current status of AI and metaverse developments and to derive future recommendations for action for ethical and appropriate use. Core topics: “Protection of identities”, “Legally secure space”, “Sustainability”, “European sovereignty”, “Digital ownership”.

Participants: 7-8 European experts will participate in each roundtable. In total, about 30-40 experts are expected.

Objective: To develop an Action Plan for European Institutions and Companies.
The “Action Plan” contains initial recommendations for action as a guide for European companies and organisations. The focus is on the ethical use of artificial intelligence and metaverse platforms in dealing with customers and employees.
