Tuesday was the kick-off meeting of the #Metaverse Think-Tank – an initiative of the Mittelstand-Digital Zentren Deutschlandweit and the Foundation Metaverse Europe!
Two discussion rounds were part of the four-hour meeting with stakeholders and experts from business and science. To start, the experts and representatives of SMEs present spoke about the potentials and areas of application of XR and AI in the context of digital transformation. A double-edged sword, on the one hand entrepreneurs keep bumping into the issues of barriers to entry, complexity, fears, etc., and on the other hand Europe is in uncertain times with a shortage of skilled workers, demographic upheaval, inflation and a kind of oversaturation as far as the emergence of new, complex technologies is concerned.
There are many hurdles here that are currently difficult for medium-sized companies to overcome.
How do entrepreneurs in Germany CONTINUE to use and shape the so-called metaverse or the increasingly digital and virtual worlds, while reducing personnel costs, making profits and at the same time acting ethically in accordance with our European values? Where do we start in value creation? Which players have to take the field when the rules are in place and the stadium is full of fans?
These are the questions that will be answered in further rounds: With a guide aimed at entrepreneurs of medium-sized companies. The cooperation is working on this until February 2024. Short, crisp and comprehensible for everyone. Stay tuned!
